The first career I researched was police. Ever since I was a little kid I wanted to be a police officer. My dad is a police officer and he has been my role model and I want to be like him. To be a police officer you can have a high school diploma or go to a 4 year college. If I chose this career I will go to a 4 year college and get a degree in criminology. That’s what my cousin did and it helps a lot with applying to a police department. The entry level salary is $61,600 per year.
The second career I researched was athletes & sport competitors. In 5th grade I set my heart on basketball. Every day it’s basketball and more basketball. I would love to be in the NBA and make tons of money. Even though it’s unlikely I still need to give it my all and work hard every day to get there one day. For the NBA you have to attend college for 1 year because players like LeBron James went straight to the NBA from high school. Entry level was listed at $31,460 per year but just depends on how you do.
The third career I researched was coaches and scouts. Coaching basketball would be amazing because I don’t want to drift away from the game. When I was little I loved baseball so much more but now since I got better in basketball I stuck with just basketball. Also, being a scout would be really good too. I would want to travel and watch tons of different athletes all over the nation. The education is a Bachelor’s degree. The entry level is $31,460 per year also.
